Melsted Badehotel has one of the best locations on the island and is surrounded by what characterizes Bornholm the most; raw rock formations in the south and a white sandy beach in the north.

At Melsted Badehotel you live in perfect settings for a holiday full of presence, immersion and self-pampering. A beautiful beach with its own jetty lies at the foot of the hotel's big patio, while the almost 18,000 square meters natural site offers lots of cosy nooks to relax with a drink in hand, enjoy the sea view and play a game of petanque.

In 2021, new owners took over Melsted Badehotel, and a the seaside hotel has since undergone a thorough renovation in a traditional Nordic "badehotel" style with great respect for the hotel's DNA and history, which dates back to 1932. Feel the whir of history in the living room, which is decorated with beautiful, old photographs of bathers on Melsted beach and of the hotel throughout the years.

The hotel consists of six buildings with a total of 21 beautiful, individually designed rooms. Regardless of whether you are in your room, the garden, the living room or the restaurant, you will be able to feel the intimate and relaxing atmosphere that fills Melsted Badehotel.

Melsted Badehotel has its own restaurant which is based on Danish-French cruisine with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. A gastronomic experience not to be missed when staying at Melsted Badehotel.

The nature around Melsted Badehotel invites for hikes and walks in all directions. A short kilometer north of Melsted Badehotel is the old vishing village of Gudhjem. Here you can explore the winding streets, lovely eateries and shops full of local delicacies and crafts. You can also follow Kyststien (Coastal trail) and walk south from the hotel - here you will soon be surrounded by a breathtaking coastal landscape full of rocky cliffs.
