Bornholms Tekniske Samling

Activity
Step into a world of yesterday at Bornholms Tekniske Samling (Bornholm's Technical Collection). Here you can discover a huge collection of objects from the last 150 years, all of which have a connection to Bornholm.

Bornholm's Technical Collection is a fun, exciting and educational experience for the whole family. Here you can walk around the totel of 25 different collections at your own pace and concentrate on the things you find particularly interesting - whether it's toys, agricultural machinery, vehicles, ceramics - or something in between. And unlike many other museums, you are actually allowed to touch some of the displayed objects.

The approx. 4000 square meter exhibition is spread over many halls; big and small, new and old. And every centimeter is utilized - including the ceilings! No less than 6,170 different cups hang up here.

Explore i.a. the transport collection, where you are first greeted by the impressive Draken fighter jet, which has previously flown over Bornholm. Or see the craftsmanship collection, which shows a number of workshops, workplaces and tools for e.g. shoemakers, carpenters, blacksmiths and stonemasons. You can also Stuehuset, which is furnished like a home from the 1950s - perhaps with a little extra kitchen appliances and more toys than one family would need. And we could go on like this, but we think you should experience the collections with your own eyes.

The museum's exhibition is divided into 22 indoor collections and 3 outdoor collections. One of the indoor collections is a rest area with tables and benches (and a whole lot of old beer bottles), where you are welcome to eat your brought lunch. If the weather is good, you can also enjoy lunch outside in the large, green garden.
