Gudhjem Hostel
Hostel | Gudhjem Hostel is located in the centre of the charming old fishing village. Here you are a stone's throw from the harbour, close to the town's many restaurants, bars and shops, and not to forget the characteristic rocky coastline and the nature that surrounds Gudhjem.
Gudhjem Hostel is one of the oldest hostels in Denmark, but today it is a modern hostel with all the necessary facilities. The hostel's history and charming spirit has been preserved with small living rooms, half-timbering, beamed ceilings and cosy rooms.
Gudhjem is (in our opinion) the most charming fishing village on the east coast. The town is also known as the Bornholm mountain town, as it is the only one on the island completely surrounded by the high cliffs. The harbour blasted out of the cliffs is just 50 metres from the hostel and the town's shops, restaurants and bars are right outside the front door. The houses in Gudhjem are close together and built right into the bedrock, many with distinctive terrace gardens shaped by rocks and nature.
The hostel's rooms are small, simple and bright and can accommodate between 2 and 12 people. The rooms are located on the ground floor and first floor. Shared shower and toilet facilities are located on the ground floor and 1st floor of the main building. Some rooms have sea views, while others overlook the harbour or the charming streets of Gudhjem.
Gudhjem Hostel has a number of great facilities, such as:
• Shared kitchen, fully equipped
• Café with snacks and sandwiches as well as hot and cold drinks
• Large outdoor terrace
• Social areas with space for relaxing, reading and board games
Breakfast is served in the café from 8:30 to 10:30. Please note that breakfast must be booked the day in advance and must be ordered via the hostel reception.
